Does coffee lose its strength when adding milk?

milkandcoffee     Question: "Does coffee lose its strength when adding milk?"- HermanAnswer: That's a great question, Herman.  Off the top, milk does not contain any ingredient that offsets caffeine, so the answer is no.However, here's another way to look at it.  Coffee that has been diluted with milk is not as strong "per sip" as coffee that is not diluted in milk.

In other words, put two cups side by side, and pour milk in one of them.  The strength of the coffee is the same in each up.  However, there is more liquid in the cup in which milk was poured, and the strength of that drink is not as strong "per sip".

I hope that makes sense and I didn't over-complicate it.
