The Importance of Customer Service

In the world of specialty coffee, customer service is everything.  For all of the different criticism that you or your local roaster could hoist on Starbucks, they definitely understand the value of customer service, and so do their customers that pay for it.  I would like good customer service at my grocery store, but I don't need it so it's a great place to sell a giant tin of pre-ground coffee.  But when I want a nice cup or pound of specialty coffee, I expect quality customer service to match.
